Tonsils & Adenoids

Tonsils & Adenoids – AVOID SURGERY- SAVE HEALTH BY HOMEOPATHY.. treatment for Tonsillitis in homoeopathy, surgery is not necessary and advisable now a days because, Tonsils are the “police man” of the throat. It is like a policeman, which guards against infective organism from being invading the body or being localized and cause inflammation in tonsils so it is called as “Tonsillitis”. Moreover Tonsillitis being lymphoid tissues which gives immunity to the body. It produces lymphocytes which are called as an “Antibody” which fight against infective organism and guards the body free from infection. If the tonsils are removed then 1. We will loss the immunity, and then the infection directly enters the “Mid Chest”. 2. During operation, fatal condition may happen. 3. After effects of operation we have loss of voice and change in tones. These are all the hazards of “Tonsillectomy”. Hence Tonsillectomy should be avoided, so Homoeopathy is the best treatment to be adopted for tonsillitis. Here by we see the efficacy of homoeopathy in Tonsils and adenoids INSIGHT INTO TONSILLECTOMY AND ADENOIDECTOMY: • Tonsils and adenoids are masses of tissue that are similar to the lymph nodes or “glands” found in the neck, groin, and armpits. • Tonsils are the two masses on the back of the throat. Adenoids are high in the throat behind the nose and the roof of the mouth (soft palate) and are not visible • Through the mouth without special instruments. • Tonsils and adenoids are near the entrance to the breathing passages where they can catch incoming germs, which cause infections. • Scientists believe they work as part of the body’s immune system by filtering germs that attempt to invade the body and those they help to develop antibodies to germs. • This happens primarily during the first few years of life, becoming less important as we get older. Children who must have their tonsils and adenoids • Removed suffer no loss in their resistance WHAT AFFECTS TONSILS AND ADENOIDS? The most common problems affecting the tonsils and adenoids are recurrent infections (throat or ear) and significant enlargement or obstruction that causes breathing and swallowing problems. Abscesses around the tonsils, chronic tonsillitis, and infections of small pockets within the tonsils that produce foul-smelling, cheese-like formations can also affect the tonsils and adenoids, making them sore and swollen. Tumours are rare, but can grow on the tonsils. TONSILLITIS AND ITS SYMPTOMS: Tonsillitis is an infection in one or both tonsils. One sign is swelling of the tonsils. Other signs or symptoms are: • Redder than normal tonsils • A white or yellow coating on the tonsils • A slight voice change due to swelling • Sore throat • Uncomfortable or painful swallowing • Swollen lymph nodes (glands) in the neck • Fever • Bad breath SYMPTOMS OF ENLARGED ADENOIDS If adenoids are enlarged, it may be hard to breathe through the nose. Other signs of constant enlargement are: • Breathing through the mouth instead of the nose most of the time • Nose sounds “blocked” when the person speaks • Noisy breathing during the day • Recurrent ear infections • Snoring at night • Breathing stops for a few seconds at night during snoring or loud breathing (sleep apnoea) SAVE TONSILS BY TAKING HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICINES • Tonsils may be considered as two guards standing at the entrance (throat) and protecting the human system against a wide range of intruders such as bacteria, virus, allergens, etc., • Tonsils are natural protectors and vital organs of self-defence mechanism of the body. They are like the soldiers fighting on the border who get injured (inflamed) protecting the country. • Surgical removal of the tonsils (tonsillectomy) is a medico-surgical controversy since years. • The homoeopathic medical fraternity has always believed in the philosophy of conserving, supporting and encouraging the body’s own defence powers. With correct homoeopathic medication, it becomes possible to SAVE TONSILS. CAUSES FOR TONSILITIS: Major cause is the infection. Certain bacteria (Most common being streptococcal group), viruses, and allergens are known to produce Tonsillitis. Tonsillitis may also occur as a result of certain allergy to food-preservatives, artificial colors, etc. • The commonest cause of tonsillitis is infection of the tonsils by micro-organisms. Certain bacteria (most common being the streptococcal group of bacteria), viruses, and allergens are known to produce tonsillitis. Allergens are usually in the form of certain food articles. • Common food articles that can trigger tonsillitis are artificially • 1. Colored jeera sweets like jangery, gulabjamun, etc. • 2. Sour fruits, lemon, pineapple, grapes, oranges, etc. • 3. Bananas • 4. Preservatives added to certain drinks • 5. Cold food or drinks, ice- creams, etc. • Environmental factors that may trigger an attack of tonsillitis are exposure to excessive cold weather, damp climate or change of weather. It must be borne in mind that bacteria and viruses tend to flourish in crowded areas and hence patients who are prone to tonsillitis can easily catch the infection in schools, parks, theaters, etc. All these factors contribute to lowering the immunity of the body and thus the tonsils got to infection by the micro-organisms. Another causative factor that can be of importance in the diagnosis of recurrent tonsillitis or chronic tonsillitis is genetic tendency. Recurrent tonsillitis is frequent in patients whose parents have also suffered from the same condition during childhood or adolescence. Thus it is not just one, but multiple factors that combine together to lower the immunity of the body and this in turn causes recurrent and chronic tonsillitis in patients. SYMPTOMS OF TONSILITIS: • Sore throat: Pain in the throat is the most common presentation. However, young babies may not present with the pain but may present with an inability to eat. • Dysphagia: That is difficult swallowing. This may either be due to pain or due to huge increase in the size of the tonsils due to frequent inflammation. • Fever: Acute infection of the tonsils may present with moderate to high rise in body temperature. Homeopathy For Thyroid Disorders

Homeopathy For Thyroid Disorders Thyroid is one of the body’s most important glands. Thyroid dysfunction is one of the most common clinical conditions seen frequently. Thyroid function influences energy formation, circulation, immune function, the metabolism of all the organs, blood sugar regulation, emotional stability, and hormonal balance. Hyperthyroidism Hyperthyroidism is when the thyroid gland produces an excess of hormones. This is associated with weight loss coupled with increased appetite, heart palpitations, increased body heat, bulging eyes, restlessness, anxiety, sleep disturbances or insomnia, muscle weakness, trembling hands, and decreased menstrual flow. Hypothyroidism Hypothyroidism is a condition in which the body lacks sufficient thyroid hormone. This occurs with greater frequency in women between the ages of 40-50, and may affect as many as 10% of women over age 50. It is associated with symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, low motivation, heat and/or cold intolerance, headaches and migraines, dry skin and hair, hair loss, fluid retention, unhealthy brittle nails, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, asthma, allergies, slow healing, acne, hives, carpal tunnel syndrome, low sex drive, insomnia, irritability, anxiety and panic attacks, depression, decreased memory and concentration, and sometimes infertility. Causes of Thyroid Problems • Deficiencies of iodine, B vitamins, various minerals. • Nutritional toxins, environmental toxins, microorganisms, iatrogenic disorders that is caused by a medical procedure or drug, and hormonal imbalances. • Soy isoflavones – a type of Phytoestrogens compound that have weak estrogenic activity are strong thyroid inhibitors. • Estrogen dominance during perimenopause can suppress thyroid function. • Broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and brussels sprouts – when eaten raw can cause thyroid disruption. • Agricultural sprays, chlorine and fluorides in water. • Radiation ranging from nuclear plants and high power lines, to common household items such as microwaves, TV’s, computers, water beds, electric blankets, and some electrical appliances all have the potential of affecting the thyroid. • Heavy metals like mercury, cadmium, iron, and arsenic. • Coxsackie virus, candida fungus overgrowth due to stress, lowered immune system, antibiotic overuse, oral contraceptives, and use of steroids. Homeopathic Approach to Thyroid Problems Homeopathy considers a disease to be the result from emotional distress and frustration, which blocks the life force energy into various different organs or glands. Homeopathy considers thyroid problem as one such autoimmune glandular dysfunction. Homeopathy offers better chances of a cure since the treatment is based on the person’s individual constitution. Homeopathic treatment may be useful as a supportive therapy for regulating both “hyper” and “hypo” conditions of the thyroid. Conventional treatment of thyroid dysfunction relies mainly on drugs and surgery, whereas homeopathic treatment improves the function of the thyroid gland through natural means. Homeopathic remedies work by stimulating the body’s own healing power. Homeopathic remedies stimulate the body to reactivate the hormone secretions, replenish and restore the thyroid tissue through the pituitary and other glands as a whole allowing the body to heal itself. Thus, homeopathic remedies will help boost your energy, improve circulation, and soothe metabolism by balancing “hyper” or “hypo” thyroid functions. To conclude, homeopathy heals by finding and curing the roots of the disease. It has a cleansing effect and stimulates thyroid activity by implementing a general regulating influence on the thyroid. Hence, for a safe, natural, effective, and long-lasting answer for your thyroid problems, consider homeopathy.

Homeopathy For Sciatica

Homeopathy For Sciatica   If you are feeling pain in your lower back or hip that radiates down from your buttock to the back of one thigh and into your leg, then you might be suffering from Sciatica. Sciatica is the term given to low back pain which travels in the distrubution of the sciatic nerve and is caused due to compression of the sciatic nerve.. Causes of Sciatica: Any condition that compresses the sciatic nerve causing Sciatica pain is listed below: • Herniated lumbar discs: Is the most common cause of sciatica in the lumbar spine. • Degenerative Disc Disease: Aging is known to cause disc weakness further causing disc herniation. • Some genetic predisposition may also make you prone to disk problems. • Diabetes: affects the way your body uses blood sugar, making you more likely to develop nerve damage. • Lumbar Spinal Stenosis: is narrowing of one or more neural passageways in the lower spine due to disc degeneration and/or facet arthritis. • Isthmic Spondylolisthesis: results from a stress fracture at the 5th lumbar vertebra. The fracture combined with disc space collapse may allow the vertebra to slip forward on the first sacral segment causing the L5 nerve root (look in the picture above) to become pinched as it leaves the spine. • Piriformis syndrome: Running directly above the sciatic nerve, the Piriformis muscle starts at your lower spine and connects to each thighbone. Piriformis syndrome occurs when the muscle becomes tight or goes into spasms, putting pressure on the sciatic nerve. Active runners and walkers, prolonged sitting, car accidents and falls may contribute to this condition. • Trauma: A car accident, fall or blow to the spine can injure the lumbar or sacral nerve roots. Also your occupation that requires you to twist your back, carry heavy loads or drive a motor vehicle for long periods makes you more prone to develop sciatica. • Spinal Tumors and Infections are rare disorders that may compress the sciatic nerve. • Sciatic nerve tumor or injury. Although uncommon, the sciatic nerve itself may be affected by a tumor or injury, leading to sciatic pain. • Other causes. In some cases, no cause may be found. A number of problems can affect the bones, joints and muscles, all of which could possibly result in sciatic pain. Symptoms of Sciatica: • Usually sciatica affects one side of the body. • Radiating pain from lower back through the back of the thigh and down through the leg to the foot or toes. • Pain may be constant or intermittent, dull, sharp, shooting, burning or tingling sensation. • Weakness, numbness or difficulty moving the leg or foot. • Everyday activity like walking, sitting and standing may be painful and difficult. • Coughing and sneezing can increase the pain. • Losing control of bowel or bladder – this is a sign of Cauda Equina Syndrome which is an emergency situation and requires immediate medical attention. Homeopathic approach to Sciatica: Homeopathy is the only form of treatment that has shown an overwhelming positive response in treating Sciatica. Constitutionally prescribed Homeopathic remedies can effectively and permanently reduce pain and other symptoms of Sciatica. Hence every individual suffering from Sciatica must consider Homeopathy to provide relief and lifetime cure. Homeopathic treatment can change a person’s life from one of distress to one of health

Homeopathy for Psoriasis

Homeopathy for Psoriasis   Psoriasis is a hereditary, papulosquamous skin disorder can have multiple clinical presentations and varies widely among different individuals. It is typically a chronic and recurring disease that is best characterized by well-demarcated erythematous plaques with scaling. The plaques can be localized, which is the most common presentation, and are confined to only certain delineated areas of the body. Typically, plaques are seen most commonly on the elbows, knees, and scalp. There are other variants of psoriasis. In palmoplantar psoriasis, lesions are limited to the soles of the feet and palms of the hands. In contrast, generalized pustular psoriasis and generalized erythrodermic psoriasis can involve the entire body and be a life-threatening condition, even necessitating hospitalization, especially when seen in association with acute respiratory distress syndrome. Inverse psoriasis in intertriginous and tends to be on flexural areas of the skin. Causes of Psoriasis • Inherited from family • Stress, depression • Undue sweating • Skin injuries like cuts, scrapes, chemical irritation, tattoos, burns, vaccination and shaving • Food allergens • A strep infection, upper respiratory viral infection, boils, thrush or HIV • Certain medications like anti-malarial drugs, Corticosteroids, medications used to treat high blood pressure, arthritis, heart conditions and depression • Sunburns • Cold and dry weather • Hormonal imbalance • Smoking and heavy alcohol consumption Symptoms of Psoriasis • Patches of dry skin • Itching and burning • Discomfort and Insomnia due to itching • Pain • Cracked and bleeding skin • Blisters with pus • Fever in cases of Pustular Psoriasis • Yellow or pitted nails • Joint pains with swelling • Low self esteem and embarrassment because of your looks • Social isolation • Suicidal thoughts Types of Psoriasis 1. Plaque psoriasis Most common form; also known as psoriasis vulgaris. It may occur anywhere on the body, including the genitals and soft tissues inside the mouth. 2. Nail psoriasis About 50% of persons with active psoriasis have psoriatic changes in fingernails and/or toenails. Nail plate is deeply pitted; nail has a yellow to yellow-pink discoloration; white areas appear under the nail plate; nail plate crumbles in yellowish patches; and the nail may be entirely lost. 3. Scalp psoriasis . 4. Guttate psoriasis This cultivates in children and young adults following a throat (strepto) infection. It materializes as small dot sized red spots on the chest, arms and legs. 5. Inverse psoriasis Mainly affecting the skin in the armpits, groin, under the breasts and around the genitals. More common in overweight people and is worsened by friction and sweating. 6. Pustular psoriasis This appears as tender areas of fiery red skin with white pus filled blisters mainly on palms and soles. It can also cause fever, chills, severe itching, weight loss and fatigue. 7. Erythrodermic psoriasis It can cover the entire body with a red, peeling rash that can itch or burn intensely. This can be life threatening because the skin loses its defensive function and may not be able to safeguard against heat and fluid loss nor preclude harmful bacteria from entering the body. The first MYTHS: Psoriasis has no cure FACT (Based on the thousands of case treated at our centres): Psoriasis can be cured if treated early and when the condition is limited to a few patches. Even chronic, widespread lesions can be cured or put into remission. There is no need to lose hope as homeopathy has helped many of cases. The second MYTHS: Psoriasis is contagious FACT: You can be assured that you will not communicate this condition merely by touching someone. Though not contagious, your child may be predisposed (genetics) to this ailment. We do recommend that children be treated as soon as possible in order to have a complete chance or recovery and cure. The third MYTHS: Corticosteroids are effective FACT: Corticosteroids can be effective initially. However, they are not effective in the long term and may produce several adverse effects such as: skin atrophy, hypo-pigmentation, stretch marks and systemic absorption. Also, withdrawal of topical corticosteroids can lead to a rebound phenomenon with worsening of the condition. The forth MYTHS: Natural skin creams are useful against psoriasis FACT: External creams only help in lubricating the dry plaques and offer temporary relief. Majority of creams labeled as ‘natural’ or ‘herbal’ may contain coal tar derivatives, salicylic acid etc which are not herbal forms. Why homoeopathy for psoriasis Last but not the least, psoriasis is not an external but an internal disorder, arising out of faulty immune system with genetic predispositions. Needless to say that the disease is deep seated and calls for well planned deep acting homeopathic medicines. Allopathic treatment with steroids can suppress the symptoms of the disease but cannot cure the disease. On the other hand, it is homoeopathic treatment that has the potential to stimulate body’s natural healing capacity and to restore the disturbed immune system. Homeopathy has gained a good reputation for curing psoriasis and other chronic skin diseases. No sticky external applications and no steroid are used. It cures naturally by increasing one’s immunity and hence can cure it permanently. Medicines are completely harmless and can be taken for longer durations very safely. After starting the homeopathic treatment, the itching, burning pain gets reduced, eruptions disappear gradually and the patient feels good in every way. Homeopathy targets the source of the problem with no damaging side effects. Homeopathic treatment for psoriasis Homeopathy is one of the most popular holistic systems of medicine. The selection of remedy is based upon the theory of individualization and symptoms similarity by using holistic approach. This is the only way through which a state of complete health can be regained by removing all the sign and symptoms from which the patient is suffering. The aim of homeopathy is not only to treat psoriasis but to address its underlying cause and individual susceptibility.

Homeopathy For Prostate Gland Enlargement

Homeopathy For Prostate Gland Enlargement   Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), also called benign enlargement of the prostate (BEP), adenofibromyomatous hyperplasia and benign prostatic hypertrophy (technically incorrect usage), is an increase in size of the prostate. Causes- Most experts consider androgens (testosterone and related hormones) to play a permissive role. This means that androgens have to be present for BPH to occur, but do not necessarily directly cause the condition. This is supported by the fact that castrated boys do not develop BPH whe n they age. On the other hand, administering exogenous testosterone is not associated with a significant increase in the risk of BPH symptoms. Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a metabolite of testosterone, is a critical mediator of prostatic growth. Signs and symptoms Benign prostatic hyperplasia symptoms are classified as storage or voiding. Storage symptoms include urinary frequency, urgency (compelling need to void that cannot be deferred), urgency incontinence, and voiding at night (nocturia). Voiding symptoms include urinary stream hesitancy (needing to wait for the stream to begin), intermittency (when the stream starts and stops intermittently), straining to void, and dribbling. Pain and dysuria are usually not present. Homeopathic approach towards prostate diseases: The unique feature of Homeopathy philosophy is that Homeopathy aims at treating the patient who is diseased rather than merely treating the diseased organs of the patient. ‘Treat the patient, not the disease’ is a dictum practiced by homeopaths over 200 years. This simply means that the disease should not be treated superficially as if it is an independent entity in the body. Instead it is perceived that every disease is a result of the dysfunction of the whole body, as every system in the human body is interlinked. When we approach the patient with the idea of ‘treating the patient and not the disease,’ it is important to note that the disease gets automatically treated when the ‘patient as a whole’ is treated. This holds true with prostate diseases also. Whether it is prostatitis or prostate enlargement Homeopathy perceives this as total affliction of body and not of the prostate gland alone.

Benefits of Loosing weight with Homeopathy

Benefits of Loosing weight with Homeopathy   Obesity is defined as having an unhealthy amount of body fat. Overweight is defined as anexcess amount of body weight as compared to an acceptable body weight. The common tool to measure obesity and overweight is the body mass index (BMI). It measures body weight In relation to height. A BMI may indicate a person is overweight, but it could indicate a person is overweight, but it could be due to lean muscle and not excess body fat (such as with an athlete). Obesity in children 1. Developmental obesity – This category of obesity begins in the early years of a child’s life and continues steadily over the adult year. Hence, the foundation has already set in by the time the child is about four years old. The cells become saturated with fat and as the child grows older, more and more fat accumulates in the body. Muscle and bone mass also increases since the body has to carry additional weight. Such children usually grow tall, look older for their age and are obese right through infancy even up to their adult years. This type of obesity results in a higher lean body mass along with the fat. 2. Reactionary obesity – This type develops due to periods of emotional stress in a child’s life. During such stress periods the child may overeat resulting in increase in weight. However, since these periods are intermittent, the weight also reflects up and down. What causes obesity? Simply stated, obesity results when the intake of calories exceeds calorie expenditure. But the cause of obesity is not that simple. Whether people accumulate excess body fat or not is due to complex and interesting factors that include • Diet • Physical activity • Environmental exposure • Genetic background Some medications such as antipsychotics, antidepressants, insulin, and beta blockers used for hypertension are also associated with the development of obesity. Their contribution to the overall incidence of obesity is small (although meaningful to the affected people.) Differences in sexes have shown that women generally gain weight after the first pregnancy and after menopause. Man gain weight generally after the age of 50 since their metabolic rate is lowered and the physical activities are decreased, while the food intake in terms of calories is not reduced. Sign and symptoms of obesity The most obvious sign of obesity is an individual who is overweight. However, excessive body weight does not necessarily correlate with obesity. A number of symptoms are associated with obesity. Those apparent with the onset of obesity include increased risk of accidents and falls, impaired heat tolerance (inability to stand or do well in hot weather), and in women menstrual irregularities and infertility. Symptoms that are related to long term obesity include: increased surgical risk attributed to increased anesthesia needs and greater risk of wound infections. Pulmonary disease because of excess weight over the lungs and respiratory tract. Type ll diabetes as a result of insulin insensitivity of enlarged fat cell Hypertension or high blood pressure owing to increased blood volume resistance to blood flow throughout the circulatory system. Cardiovascular diseases as a result of increased LDL-cholesterol and triglycerides with concomitant decreased in HDL-cholesterol. Bone and joint disorders. Gall stones due to increased cholesterol content of bile. Pregnancy risks including more difficult delivery, increased number of, increased number of birth defects, toxemia of pregnancy. Increased psychological problems with social stigma attached to obesity. The greater the degree of obesity, the more likely it is that someone develop health problems. Conditions associated with obesity • Hypothyroidism • Alcoholism • Depression • Chronic pain • Sleep apnea • Immobility or marked reduction in exercise • Child obesity due to starvation of mother during pregnancy • Cushing’s syndrome • Chronic fatigue syndrome Medical complications of obesity Cardiovascular • Hypertension • Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease including myocardial infraction • Ventricular hypertrophy and congestive heart failure • Cerebrovascular accidents Endocrine • Diabetes mellitus • Hyperlipidemia Gastrointestinal • Gall bladder disease, risk further increased during rapid weight loss • Fatty liver, portal inflammation and fibrosis-non alcoholic steatohepatitis Metabolic • Hyperlipidemia, especially hypertriglyceridemia • Gout Skeletal • Degenerative osteoarthritis • Increased risk of hip fracture Other medical • Increased cancer risk, especially breast, uterus, colon, prostate • Increased surgical risk.
